peanut butter cream dreams.

I have so many leftover ingredients from the holidays & it was taking up so much space in the pantry room. I've been on a diet since 25 November 2010 & I hardly crave sweets anymore, but I was in desperate need to get rid of some ingredients.

I decided to make a personal favourite, a no bake pie called The Peanut Butter Cream Dreams. This is a recipe that I conjoured a few years ago when I used to experiment & practice cooking.
  • 1 cup (8 ounce) cream cheese, soften
  • 1 cup peanut butter, smooth
  • 1 1/2 cup of caster sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tub of whipped cream, thawed
  • 2 premade pie crusts with tin

^ This is so easy to make & does not require any oven time at all!
First, combine the cream cheese & peanut butter together and blend well. Add in the caster sugar, and slowly ad the milk. Blend well. Depending on what kind of blending method you use, it will be either smooth or chunky. I like to do it the old fashioned way, so I blended mine by hand giving the texture a bit of a chunky feel.

Next, slowly fold in the whipped cream, turning the bowl with you as you fold. This is an important key! DO NOT stir or fold too fast, this will cause the whipped cream to become watery.

Take the two premade pie crusts and gently dollop the peanut butter cream into the tin. As you can see I also used mini pie tarts by Keebler's. I like to make individual ones, just so I don't over indulge with this dangerous pudding. Refrigerate the pies & allow it to chill overnight.

^ The finished product.
Peanut butter is probably the death of me to tell you the truth. I love peanut butter anything, except peanut butter cookies unless they're from Rocky Mountain. Homemade or packaged ones are always either too dry or strange texture. I try not to indulge too much with it, but sometimes I can't help not to pass up a good peanut butter dish. I hope you enjoy making these as much as I enjoy eating them.
